Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work Precision Downey Spray Foam Insulation does at your home or business. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Precision Downey Spray Foam Insulation, and "you" means the person using the site or hiring us.

By browsing our home page or any other page on this site, asking for an estimate or booking a job, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or book work with us.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in Downey, CA, and we work in the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall and crawl space insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, air sealing, vapor barriers and removal of old insulation. You can read more about our crew on our About page.

The service descriptions on this site are general. They explain how this kind of work usually goes and aren't a promise about your house. The scope of your job is what's written in your estimate or contract, and that written scope is what we're agreeing to do.

Estimates and pricing

Our on-site estimates are free, and there's no pressure to book. We base each estimate on what we can see and reach when we visit, such as how much insulation is already in your attic, the age of your house and how easy it is to get into the attic or crawl space.

Some things only show up once the work starts, like old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings, hidden damage or gaps we couldn't reach during the visit. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you what we found and get your approval before doing anything extra.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update it because material costs and schedules change. Permit fees and other outside charges are only included if your estimate says so.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll agree on a work date with you. Weather, material deliveries and earlier jobs running long can move that date, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new one.

On the day of the job, we need clear access to the attic, crawl space or walls we're working on, plus a safe path through the house. Please move stored items out of the way and keep kids and pets clear of the work area so our crew can work safely and finish on time.

Some jobs, especially spray foam, have a re-entry time, which is how long you need to stay out before it's safe to come back inside. We'll tell you that time for your job, and you agree to follow it for everyone in the house, including pets.

If you need to cancel or move your date, let us know as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials for your job or turned away other work to hold your date, we may charge for those costs, and your estimate or contract will say how that works.

Payment

Payment is due as stated on your estimate, contract or invoice. If your job requires a deposit, the amount and when it's due will be in writing before we start.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled, and we may add any late charges your contract allows. If you have a question about a charge, call us before the due date so we can sort it out.

Warranties and what we don't promise

We're licensed and insured. Any warranty on our workmanship is the one we give you in writing for your job, and it covers only what it says. Warranties on materials come from the companies that make them, and we'll pass along that information when it applies.

We don't promise a specific drop in your power bill or a specific temperature in any room, because those depend on things outside our work, like your windows, your heating and cooling system and how you run it. The information on this website is general and is provided as is, without any warranty that it fits your house.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses tied to our work or this website, such as lost income or costs of staying somewhere else. Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't responsible for problems that were there before we started and that our work didn't cause, such as roof leaks, pest damage, mold, wiring issues or damaged framing. If we spot one of these, we'll point it out so you can decide what to do.

Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under California law that can't be waived.

If there's a problem

If something about your job isn't right, call us first at (562) 306-5737 or reach us through our Contact page. Most problems get settled faster with a call and a return visit than any other way, and we'll work with you in good faith to fix it.

If we can't settle it together, either of us can take the matter to small claims court or to the courts in Los Angeles County, California.

Which law applies

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be on this page. The terms in place when you signed your estimate or contract are the ones that apply to that job.

Questions about these terms
